"JAPANGLE" is a new series of educational entertainment programs that puts a spotlight on various aspects of Japan. Using puppets as the main characters, Professor Arrow and his assistant Vector, to introduce Japan, the omnibus style program highlights Japan from a foreigner's point of view. Each episode looks at a characteristic Japanese topic from 4 different angles: design, history, technique, and spirit.

The episode, "Stylized movement", focuses on unique Japanese stylized movements, from everyday ojigi bowing, tejime handclapping used to close events, and the origins of do-age body-tossing, to the techniques of university cheerleaders and the daily routine of zen monks.

Episode 4 - Hairstyling

The episode, "Hairstyling", takes a look at unique Japanese hairstyling, from ancient to modern times, and features the background story of methods developed to increase the volume of thinning hair, and traditional hairstyling for a sumo wrestler and a geisha girl.

Episode 3 - Sweets and snacks
First Aired: March. 20,2018

The "Sweets and snacks" episode introduces Japanese confectionery and nibbles, showing a wide variety of designs, the product story behind a popular chocolate snack, technologies for creating textures and the philosophy of a wagashi confectioner.
